Silver City Comets

The Silver City Comets first appeared when two guitarists found a singer so they could do a gig at the old West Darling Hotel. The trio played Country Swing, old Rock n' Roll and up-tempo ballads.

That was in about 2010 and the Comets are still rattling on but with bass, drums and organ now on board. 

For several years The Comets were the house band at the old Excelsior Hotel where the Sunday sessions always drew a crowd.

The occasional change of crew over the years has resulted in a more hard-rocking ride with tunes by the likes of Tom Petty, Steve Earl and Warren Zevon, although many of the old favourites are still there for the comfort of our regular travellers.
